The National Centre for Emergency Primary Health Care receives annual out-of-hours (OOH) data from the Norwegian Health Economics Administration (Helfo). After every consultation the doctor sends an electronic compensation claim to Helfo. Electronic billing has been compulsory since 2006. We have data on the doctors (gender, age, municipality, and whether the OOH doctor is a regular general practitioner), patients (gender, age, and municipality) and contact data (time, diagnosis, and fees).
